Playing together
Community rules
Every guest is welcome on Auntie Koko’s island. To keep it that way, a few simple rules apply when you write, visit and play.
1. Be kind
- No insults, no laughing at others, no teasing — not even “just for fun”.
- Winning is nice, losing is part of the game. Feel free to say “Well played!”.
- Nobody has to chat, join an island club or play along. Don’t push anyone, and leave people alone who don’t answer.
- No spam: the server accepts at most 5 messages in 10 seconds.
2. Keep personal things to yourself
- Don’t give away a real name, an address, a phone number, an e-mail address, your school or a password — not even hidden or in pieces.
- Don’t arrange to meet people you only know from the game.
- Tiki Ranch never asks for a password; the game has none. If someone asks you for one or for anything personal, report them.
- You may share your friend code: whoever knows it can only send you a friend request, which you can accept or decline.
In short: be kind. Don’t share phone numbers, addresses or passwords.
A filter on our server replaces swear words, links, e-mail addresses and long strings of digits such as phone numbers with *** before a message arrives. But it does not catch everything — so these rules still apply.
3. Who can write to you
Only your friends and the members of your island club in the club chat can write to you. There is no open chat with strangers. A message is a text of at most 200 characters, a sticker or a quick message such as “Thanks!”.
Anyone who is neither your friend nor in your island club, such as another player in a mini-game, can only reach you with the fixed emotes in the mini-game, with a friend request and, if you lead an island club, with a request to join. With the “Hide chat” switch in your profile, not even a friend can start a chat with you any more.
4. Report and block
If someone bothers you, you don’t have to put up with it:
- Report: tap a message in the chat and choose “Report”, or use the menu next to a friend in your friends list. You pick a reason: offensive, personal data, spam or other.
- Block: in the same places. Your friendship ends; the blocked player can no longer send you a request, start a chat with you, challenge you or visit your island.
- If you are in the same island club, they can still write in the club chat. There, reporting helps — and the club’s leader can remove members.
If things get serious, for example if someone pressures you or asks for your address: tell an adult you trust, and write to us.
5. What happens after a report
- The server stores the report together with the reported message as it appears in the chat history. Whoever reports cannot change it.
- If three different players report the same player within 24 hours, that player cannot send chat messages for 24 hours. This happens automatically.
- The reported player does not find out who reported them. Other players do not see reports.
- Who reads the stored reports and how often: [to be added].
What is stored and for how long is described in the privacy policy (section 6).
6. Contact
Do you have a question about these rules, or did something happen that you want to tell us about? Write to info@tbak.org. So that we can match it up, please include:
- your player number (in the game under Settings),
- the other player’s name with its number, such as “Giggling Coconut #4821”,
- where and when it happened: club chat, a message between friends or a mini-game.
